How do I clean and take care of my rug?
Proper care and cleaning will prolong the beauty of your KAS rug and will provide years of use. KAS recommends regular thorough vacuuming of your rug, along with professional cleaning every 3-5 years. Hot water extraction machines are not recommended. Clean spills and spots immediately. Never rub a spill; always blot to prevent fraying of the rug yarns. Any stray fibers from vacuuming should be cut even with the rug's surface, never pulled. Do the colors on the KAS website match the colors of the actual rugs?
All KAS rug images shown on this website have been professionally photographed and enhanced to show the true colors and intricate details of each rug. However, due to differences in color settings on individual monitors, KAS cannot insure that each rug is absolutely color correct to the image on this website.

Do your rugs come with and without fringe?

What are KAS rugs made of and is one material better than any others?
KAS carries rugs of various different product constructions, and introduces fresh and innovative weaves at each market. KAS' product line consists of a wide selection of constructions and qualities of rugs including: Handtufted, Handhooked, Hi/Lo, Scatters, Wool, Silk, Acrylic, Bamboo, Jute, Sisal, and unique combination weaves. Wool has excellent resistance to compression due to the physical nature of wool fibers and is noted for its luxury and softness. Acrylic fibers are strong and colorfast with a soft wool-like feel.

How do you get a rug to lay flat?
Getting a rug to lay flat can be easily done using the reverse roll method - simple roll the rug in the opposite direction. We also highly recommend laying a rug pad down directly underneath the carpet.
